Maybe I should start doing a charcter a day, could be a good investment. Do a bunch of small drawings than have a day of drawing a more highly polished one. I dont know.
Screenshot trying to explain one of my recent drawing methods. Works kind of well when doing large scale things, but you need to work delicately, but loose? If you get what I mean, More controle in a tighter space. Like a, surgen, or a cat.

|Still Life- Plums in water|
Been studying feet this morning. Complicated little things. I think my tradiational sketches this morning are better than the photostudy. I think I spent a bit too long on this, wasnt really neccacary. Oh whell.
Still life with some plums, decided to put them in water just to see what they'd look like, they floated for while but when i got to painting them they fell, bit lame. Took an hour, natural lighting for the win! Infact the lighting was so bright Im not sure how grey the achual image is, cant see it from glare and stuff. :I

Did something like this with a similar method of painting 9 months ago, this looks better than that, but still not 9 months later good enough, well they are speedy things anyway.
Also hurr, silly 40 minute doodle, would have done more corrections and gernarly made it look good..but i ran out of time. :I Bummer. 3D time!

|First zbrush mess|
Well this is what i made today (yesterday). The goal was to set out to make a bump map in Zbrush, from a high polly to use on a low polly mesh. I also hada try at AO mapping. Suprisingly, these things worked. Yay, now I know how to do it, now i need to learn how to do it right.
Problems ive ran into, random textures on model, very apparent seams, AO arifacts. also, the AO is very dark on the fingers for some reason. Oh well. It's my very first try at both zbrushing a model, high to low and AO. Other attemps I havnt really known what I was doing at all. Hey, this is just a bench mark for me. And a pretty easy one to beat. Soon, Ill be making cool zbrush shit with Mary and the like. ;D

Ak! Over slept today, instead of 9 hours drawing, I get 6, lame! I look quite smug in this painting, hu?
And another photo study, I was only interested in the armor and the face, didnt care too much for backgrounds this time.
Also some more work in progress for my MMO chaeracter project. Just need to render them out and theyll be fine.I also added my current idea map, Ill add comments later on, but keeping a PDF of photos I collected seems like a good way to keep my ideas together. Today is a bit of a shambles, so im going to just out some drawing time and go right into 3D. (edit) Think it was worth it, got most of the Cohan statue down, just need to go in and lower the poly count and fix up areas. Going to have to rig this to get it in the right stance, ah, it will be worth it.

Quick photo study of a knight, goingto model a charcter later want to get the concepts out pretty quickly, so just soaking up info for the moment
Okay, heres the front veiws of my Male and Fermale Knights. They still need work ofcorse, need to render in the details and finish up on the side and back. Really want to sharpen up those edges soon.
I think what ill do is make the heads seperately, as in, if I chooseto model a male Ill make a seperate male head for it away from the costume. Anywho. I need to go eat, my diets gotten pretty more. And take a walk to morrison. Yey.

Im begining to think all my studying is beginingto pay off, im quite happy with the result of that copper, didnt have have referances for the person at all, referanced the clothes though, I dont know what New york police look like. Perhaps I could tie this character in with my race track... Probably not.
Duffy statue is coming along, took it into zbrush and back out to retype. Trying to cut the tri count down now, 7K is too much for a sculpture.
